Boston’s Best OBGYN’s

I am a mom of four and have been involved in all things baby over the last nine years, so I thought it would be helpful to have a list compiled Boston’s best OBGYN’s voted by local moms in the metro west MA area! I asked a group of local moms to tell me their favorites and here’s the best voted!

Dr. Edmon Jacobson, MD who practices out of Framingham, MA had many votes! He is an Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialist in Framingham, MA and has over 41 years of experience in the medical field. Dr. Jacobson has more experience with Gynecologic Conditions than other specialists in his area. He graduated from School of Medicine Tehran University of Medical Sciences medical school in 1980. Dr. Jacobson is affiliated with MetroWest Medical Center – Framingham Union Hospital.

There were many votes for the entire Harvard Vanguard team in Wellesley, MA as well.

Lots of moms voted for Dr. Julia Logan, MD who is an Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialist in Chestnut Hill, MA and has over 27 years of experience in the medical field. She graduated from U of Massachusetts medical school in 1994. She is affiliated with MetroWest Medical Center – Framingham Union Hospital. Local mom Kimmy says “Dr. Logan out of Harvard Vanguard in Wellesley has been my OB for the last 15 years. I love her!”

Ilana says “the entire Harvard Vanguard OB and midwife team is amazing! I had two babies with them now. I’ve met most of the midwives and a handful of the OB’s and have loved all of them. I also love that the OB’s and midwives work together so closely.”

Dr. Virginia Simmons was highly rated by the local moms.

Dr. Simmons is a Board Certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology, and a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology. Virginia grew up in Winchester, Massachusetts. She received her undergraduate at the University of Virginia, where she studied English Literature and Premed, additionally after graduation, Virginia was employed in the publishing and marketing sector for five years. She decided to return to the University of Virginia where she attended Medical School. Virginia completed her intern year in OB/GYN at the University of Connecticut. She then completed residency at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in 2003. Upon completing her training, she joined the private practice of Wellesley Women’s Care in 2003.

Dr. Malcolm MacKenzie, MD is a Obstetrics & Gynecology Specialist in Lexington, MA and has over 31 years of experience in the medical field. He graduated from Dartmouth College medical school in 1990. He is affiliated with Mount Auburn Hospital. Local mom Debra says “he is truly an amazing human and Dr. Absolutely the best if you suffer from endometriosis. He performs life saving surgeries.”

Dr. Thomas Connolly at New England Ob/Gyn Dr. Connolly is affiliated with Brigham and Womans Hospital and is American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology certified. He attended Georgetown University for Medical School and was a resident at Tufts-New England Medical Center, Residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

Dr. Taryn Lieberman, NEOGA Chestnut Hill: Dana Says “I’ve been seeing Dr. Lieberman for 7+ years and have seen her through two pregnancies (and 1 delivery). Dr. Lieberman is hysterical, which is especially helpful in an OBGYN, but more importantly, she is incredibly knowledgeable, thorough, and reassuring. Having a super smart, accomplished doctor who you’d also want to grab a drink with is an unbelievable find!”
